"Make business a force for good and focus upon people, the planet as well as profit"
This boy is rather inspirational! This in a way summaries the two links below this post.
Following on from the TED talk below this is quite fitting. Love or hate Steve Jobs this is definitely something to think about.
"When you grow up you tend to get told that the world is the way it is and your life is to just live your life inside the world, try not to bash into the walls to much.
That’s a very limited life. Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact and that is everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter then you are and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use.
Once you learn that you’ll never be the same again”.
All of us have a “spine” meaning that we all have an inner motor, a dominant unconscious goal that we are all striving for, an itch that we can’t quite scratch. These “spines” don’t always drive you to make the best choices sometimes you can make some horrible choices with them. Your born with this temperament, you are wired with it and you don’t have any say about it you can’t change it. All you can do is learn to recognize it and own it!
Everything we do in the world is an attempt to figure out our place in the world. Who are you? Some figure this out at an early age some figure it out in the last years of their time on earth. Either way we are all here for a reason, figure it out, create what you want, change the world, and never stop learning about yourself!
"Use what you know, draw from it. It doesn’t always mean plot or fact it means capturing a truth from your experiences, expressing values that you personally feel deep down in your core"
- Andrew Stanton.
"As for my destination, I don’t think I ever knew one. I walk, I ran, in the direction of my dreams. Things change along the way, people change, I change, the world changes, and even my dreams change. I don’t have a place to arrive I just keep doing what I know how to do the best I know I can do them"
